Templates
Define reusable proposal structures.
What templates are
Templates define a pre-set proposal structure: which sections to include and in what order. They do not contain content (that is what snippets are for); they define the skeleton of your proposal.
System templates
pro-posal.io ships with two system templates that you can use straight away:
Full Proposal
A comprehensive structure covering every stage of a pitch, from the cover and client brief through to technical detail, pricing, your team, and acceptance.
Simplified Proposal
A streamlined structure for shorter proposals: cover, executive summary, the essential detail, pricing, and acceptance.
System templates cannot be edited or deleted.
Custom templates
Create your own templates in Settings > Templates. The template builder lets you:
- Add and remove sections
- Reorder sections by dragging
- Give each template a descriptive name
Using templates
When creating a new proposal, you can pick a template before Paul starts building. If you select a template, Paul uses those exact sections in that exact order and skips the section recommendation question entirely.
If you skip the template selection, Paul recommends sections based on the event type and your answers.
Templates and snippets
Template sections can be backed by snippets. When a template section has an associated snippet, the section is created with the snippet's content pre-filled, giving you both structure and content in one step.
