Snippets

Save and reuse section content across proposals.

What snippets are

Snippets are saved section content that you can reuse across multiple proposals. Instead of rewriting your About Us text or Technical Specification intro every time, save it as a snippet and insert it in seconds.

Creating and using snippets

Save a section as a snippet

In the editor, click the scissors icon on any section to save its current content as a snippet. Give it a name you will recognise later.

Insert a snippet

When adding a section to a proposal, you can pick from your saved snippets. The section is created with the snippet's content pre-filled.

Manage snippets

Go to Settings > Snippets to view, edit, or delete your saved snippets. Changes to a snippet here will be tracked across proposals that use it.

Version tracking

When you update a snippet in Settings, any proposal using that snippet will show an update banner. You then have two options:

  • Update: pull in the latest snippet content, replacing the section's current text
  • Detach: disconnect the section from the snippet, making it fully independent
Detaching a snippet is a one-way action. Once detached, the section will no longer track changes to the original snippet.

Supported sections

Most section types support snippets. The following sections do not support snippets:

  • Cover
  • Accept
  • Small Print
  • Quotation

All other section types can be saved as snippets and reused.

Create snippets for your standard About Us, Understanding intro, and Technical Specification structure. These are the sections you will reuse most often.
