Acceptable Use Policy

This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses pro-posal.io: our customers, their team members, and anyone who opens a proposal link. It covers the content you put into the service, the proposals and files you share, and how you use Paul, the AI drafting assistant.

Content you must not upload, share or create

• child sexual abuse material, or anything that sexualises children;
• pornography of any kind, including extreme pornographic images and images showing strangulation or suffocation;
• intimate images of anyone shared or created without their consent, including fake or AI-made images;
• content that promotes or supports terrorism or violent extremism;
• threats, harassment, stalking, or content that encourages self-harm;
• hate speech, or content that attacks people for a protected characteristic;
• fraud, scams, phishing, fake invoices, or content that impersonates another person or business;
• fake reviews or testimonials;
• malware, or links to it;
• material that infringes someone else's copyright, trade mark or other rights;
• anything else that is unlawful where you or your recipients are.

Uses that are not allowed

• sending spam, or proposals that recipients have not asked for, at scale;
• gambling, betting, or adult services;
• weapons, explosives, or other goods and services that are illegal to sell where you or your clients are;
• surveillance or tracking of people without their knowledge;
• using pro-posal.io for decisions about people's access to jobs, credit, housing, education, insurance or public services;
• scraping, copying or reselling the service, or using it to build a competing product;
• testing the security of the service, probing other accounts, or trying to get round limits, without our written permission (see reporting a security issue);
• using the service if you, your business or its owners are subject to UK, US, EU or UN sanctions, or from a country or region under comprehensive sanctions.

Paul, the AI drafting assistant

Paul is powered by Anthropic's Claude models, so Anthropic's Usage Policy also applies to how you use him. In particular, you must not use Paul to:

• create any of the content listed above;
• write content that deceives people, such as fake testimonials, invented credentials or misleading claims;
• present his output as written by a person when you are asked, or remove the label that says it is AI-written;
• give legal, medical, financial or other professional advice that a client will rely on;
• train, or help train, another AI model.

Paul can make mistakes. You are responsible for checking anything he writes before you send it to a client.

What we do if this policy is broken

• We may remove or disable content, a proposal link or a file.
• We may warn you, limit Paul, or suspend or close the account.
• Where the law requires it, we report illegal content, such as child sexual abuse material, to the authorities.

We tell you what we have done and why, unless the law or safety prevents it. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that message or email us, and we will look at it again and tell you the result.

Reporting a problem

If you see something on pro-posal.io that breaks this policy, email darren@pro-posal.io with the link and what is wrong. Please do not copy, download or forward anything you think may be illegal.
